Creativity, precision and plenty of sugar – THE recipe for the perfect gateau. Whilst in the old days, a bit of whipped cream and maybe a few chocolate sprinkles constituted cake decorating highlights, true works of art are created in today’s trendy kitchens. Hamburg-born Katja Kruse was quick to recognise the “themed cake” trend and has organised “Die Tortenshow”, an annual trade fair held at the Hamburg guildhall, since 2009. Around 120 gateau bakers present their sugary masterpieces to visitors and an expert jury.
hesse und hallermann has lent its expertise to “Die Tortenshow” since 2013 and successfully places numerous advertisements for the trade fair in the press every year, and also ensures that colourful reports appear in the trade journals and in the consumer media.
