“A restaurant journeys around the world”
Der Tagesspiegel

Anyone who has never tasted the legendary Hamburg weisswurst sausage served in the lopsided Oberhafenkantine is not a true Hamburger. And since 2010, the local eatery in HafenCity is officially no longer just a cult hit but also a work of art. Artist Thorsten Passfeld has built a 1:1 wooden replica of the Oberhafenkantine. The work of art was transported from Hamburg to Berlin by water, now sits as part of the ‘Art Campus’ at Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin-Tiergarten and is used as an event venue.

In 2010, hesse und hallermann supported the wooden Oberhafenkantine’s move from Hamburg to Berlin and ensured that it was reported in the relevant regional media and in art scene publications.
